BigBang (빅뱅) is a South Korean boy band formed by YG Entertainment, now composed of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung after originally debuting as a five-piece — Seungri retired from the entertainment industry in March 2019 and T.O.P left the group in May 2023. Often dubbed the "Kings of K-pop," they are regarded as one of the most influential acts in the genre and helped spread the Korean Wave internationally, known for their self-production, musical experimentation and stage presence. After a lukewarm response to their 2006 debut album, they broke through with singles such as "Lies," which topped Korean music charts for six consecutive weeks, followed by "Last Farewell," "Haru Haru" and "Sunset Glow," and went on to release a run of Japanese studio albums that widened their reach across Asia.
