Momo is a Japanese member of Twice, the nine-member South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment. Born November 9, 1996, she serves as main dancer, sub rapper, and sub vocalist. She was not among the seven members selected through Sixteen, the 2015 Mnet survival show; founder J.Y. Park added her separately, noting the group needed her performance abilities — a decision that drew controversy at the time. Twice debuted on October 20, 2015, and she has remained an active member since.
